It's that time again! For NYC Restaurant Week - Summer edition. Restaurant week will run from Jul 22 to Aug 16 this year. For those who don't know, Restaurant week is when top restaurants across NYC offers special prix-fixe menus in order to attract new customers. The price went up this year with lunch prix-fixe costs at $25 and dinner menus at $38. If you have a American Express card, you might be able to offset the price increase with a $5 statement credit. New NYC Store Openings

I noticed some new store openings in NYC recently. Just thought I should share.

There's a new DSW location opening up at 34 Street between 7th and 8th Avenue where the old Conway locations were. Store opens on March 8th. Not sure if they have any specials going on. But it's good to know that there are more DSWs around.

There's a new Gap Factory Outlet store opened in the Fulton Street Mall in Brooklyn, New York on Monday. No more driving for long hours to get to an outlet store for returns! This will be very convenient. =)

The NYC Restaurant Week is going on right now! From Jan 16 till Feb 10, participating restaurants will be offering a prix-fixe 3 course menu for a set price ($24.07 for Lunch and $35 for Dinner). This is the perfect time to try out different restaurants. Check here for a list of participating restaurants.

In addition to the prix-fixe menu prices, American Express will give you $20 back if you participate in Restaurant Week for 3 times. Make sure you register your card first! This is only valid for the first 15,000 registrants. So sign up now! I don't think you actually have to order the prix-fixe menu, but you will need to make a purchase of at least $24 at each participating restaurant.
